Policy

Customer-Supplied Garments & Merchandise Policy

Important terms for garments and merchandise you provide to Yes We Print for printing, embroidery, DTF and other decoration services.

Effective Date: September 25, 2026  •  Last Updated: September 25, 2026
Before You Supply Your Own Merchandise
Yes We Print accepts certain customer-supplied garments and merchandise for decoration. Because these products are supplied by you rather than sourced by us, additional production risks and conditions apply. By submitting your own merchandise for decoration, you acknowledge and agree to this Policy and the applicable provisions of our Terms of Service.

1. Acceptance of Customer-Supplied Merchandise

Yes We Print may accept customer-supplied T-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, jackets, hats, bags, uniforms, and other merchandise for decoration.

We reserve the right to refuse any item that we believe is unsuitable for the requested decoration method or presents an unreasonable production risk.

Certain fabrics, coatings, finishes, garment constructions, previously decorated products, delicate materials, specialty items, and other merchandise may not be suitable for printing, embroidery, curing, heat application, or other production processes.

Acceptance of merchandise does not constitute a guarantee that the item is free from manufacturing defects or suitable for every decoration process.

2. Customer Responsibility for Merchandise Selection

When you supply the merchandise, you are responsible for selecting the product, brand, size, color, fabric, construction, and material.

Yes We Print is not responsible for defects or characteristics inherent in Customer-Supplied Goods, including sizing inconsistencies, shrinkage, fabric defects, dye inconsistencies, discoloration, seams, coatings, material reactions, or other conditions originating from the merchandise itself.

We strongly recommend reviewing the manufacturer's specifications and suitability before purchasing expensive, specialty, or unusual merchandise for decoration.

3. Quantity Received

We generally count Customer-Supplied Goods when they are received and make reasonable efforts to identify and communicate apparent quantity discrepancies before Production. Customers remain responsible for providing an accurate itemized list of the merchandise submitted.

The itemized list should identify quantities, sizes, colors, styles, and other relevant information. Our receiving records and counts may be used to document what was received. If you believe there is a discrepancy, notify us promptly and before Production whenever reasonably possible.

4. Production Spoilage Allowance

Decoration involves mechanical equipment, heat, pressure, ink, thread, pretreatment, curing, adhesives, and other production processes. Yes We Print takes reasonable care throughout Production and makes every effort to avoid damaging Customer-Supplied Goods. Our actual spoilage rate is generally very low.

However, occasional production spoilage can occur even when proper procedures and reasonable care are used. For this reason, Customer-Supplied Goods are subject to a production spoilage allowance of up to 5% of the quantity submitted, rounded up to the next whole item.

The 5% allowance does not mean that 5% of every Order will be damaged, nor is it an expected or target spoilage rate. It is a maximum contractual allowance intended to address occasional production loss that can occur when decorating merchandise supplied by the Customer. In practice, many Orders have no damaged items at all.

A spoilage allowance for customer-supplied merchandise is a commonly used practice in the custom printing and decoration industry. The allowance recognizes that Yes We Print does not control the manufacturing characteristics or replacement availability of merchandise supplied by the Customer.

For example, if you provide 20 Customer-Supplied items, the 5% allowance equals one item.

The allowance applies only to loss or damage occurring during the decoration process and does not apply to unrelated loss or intentional misconduct. If an exact final quantity is essential, we strongly recommend providing additional pieces.

Plain English: We do our best to avoid damaging any of your merchandise, and spoilage is uncommon. The 5% allowance does not mean we expect to damage 5% of your Order. It establishes a maximum allowance for occasional production spoilage when we are decorating merchandise supplied by you.

5. Items Damaged Beyond the 5% Allowance

If merchandise beyond the 5% production spoilage allowance is damaged as a result of a verified Yes We Print production error, our responsibility for each damaged item beyond the allowance is limited to $5.00 per item, or up to $10.00 per item with a genuine purchase receipt showing the amount actually paid, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

Our decoration charges are based on the printing, embroidery, or other decoration service being performed—not on the retail, replacement, or declared value of the merchandise you provide.

For example, the price we charge to print a Customer-Supplied item generally does not increase merely because the blank item is worth $300 instead of $3. Accordingly, our decoration price does not include insurance or assumption of liability for the full value of Customer-Supplied Goods.

Customers providing unusually expensive, rare, sentimental, irreplaceable, collectible, or one-of-a-kind merchandise should consider this limitation before submitting the merchandise for decoration.

Plain English: If verified production damage exceeds the 5% allowance, our responsibility for each additional damaged item is limited to $5, or up to $10 with a genuine purchase receipt. Our decoration price is based on the printing or embroidery service—not whether the item you supplied cost $3 or $300.

6. Damaged Merchandise

Items damaged during Production may be retained temporarily for production records, inspection, or claim verification.

If you want damaged Customer-Supplied Goods returned, you must request them before the completed Order is picked up or shipped. When reasonably available, we will return them with the Order or make them available for collection.

Yes We Print is not required to preserve damaged merchandise indefinitely after an Order has been completed or a claim has been resolved.

7. Delivering or Shipping Merchandise to Yes We Print

When delivering or shipping Customer-Supplied Goods to us, label each box or package with your name and Order number and include an itemized list of the merchandise.

Merchandise shipped to Yes We Print is at the Customer's risk until it is received by us. Yes We Print is not responsible for merchandise lost, stolen, delayed, misdelivered, or damaged while in transit to our facility.

Customers are responsible for using appropriate packaging and a suitable shipping or delivery method. See our Shipping Policy for additional shipping information.

8. When Production Time Begins

Production time does not begin until all Customer-Supplied Goods required for the Order have been received and counted, required payment has been made, artwork has been approved, and all other information or approvals required to begin Production have been received.

Late delivery of Customer-Supplied Goods, quantity discrepancies, missing sizes or items, incomplete information, payment delays, artwork delays, delayed Customer responses, Customer-requested changes, or other Customer-caused delays may change the Production or completion date.

Current production information and available service levels are described on our Turnaround Times page.

9. Heat, Curing & Material Reactions

Many decoration processes require heat, pressure, pretreatment, curing, adhesives, chemicals, or other processes that can interact differently with different materials.

Customer-Supplied Goods may experience changes such as slight discoloration, dye migration, changes in shade, flattening of fabric, press marks, temporary moisture marks, changes in texture, or other material reactions.

These risks may vary depending on fabric composition, garment color, thickness, coatings, dyes, manufacturing processes, previous treatments, and the decoration method used.

A material reaction that is an inherent or reasonably expected result of applying the requested decoration process to Customer-Supplied Goods is not necessarily a production defect.

10. Print, Embroidery & Material Appearance

The same artwork may appear differently depending on the merchandise's material, color, texture, thickness, weave, construction, and size.

Ink appearance may differ between 100% cotton, cotton/polyester blends such as 50/50, lightweight cotton, heavyweight cotton, preshrunk garments, performance fabrics, and other materials.

Embroidery may also appear differently depending on fabric stability, thickness, stretch, backing requirements, garment construction, and other characteristics.

Yes We Print uses professional judgment and reasonable production practices to achieve the best practical result for the merchandise provided.

11. Color Matching & Reorders

If you require a specific Pantone® (PMS) color, you must provide the exact PMS code in writing before Production.

Yes We Print uses available physical and/or production color references and professional judgment to match requested PMS colors as closely as reasonably practical.

Colors displayed on phones, computers, tablets, and other electronic screens may differ from physical colors because of screen calibration, brightness, resolution, display technology, color settings, and other factors.

The same ink or thread color may also appear different depending on garment color, fabric composition, material, texture, thickness, and lighting conditions. Reasonable variations resulting from these factors are not considered production defects.

If you want a new Order to match a previously produced Order in decoration size, color, or placement, tell us when placing the Order and, when practical, provide a previously decorated item for reference. Even with a previous sample, an exact match between separate production runs cannot be guaranteed.

12. Testing & Samples

For unusual, expensive, specialty, or unfamiliar merchandise, Yes We Print may recommend or require testing before full Production.

Testing does not guarantee that every item will react identically because manufacturing, dye, fabric, coating, and other characteristics may vary between individual items.

If you decline recommended testing or do not provide sufficient additional merchandise for testing, you accept the additional production risk associated with proceeding.

13. Customer-Requested Specifications

If you require a particular print size, embroidery size, placement, PMS color, thread color, orientation, or other specification, you must provide the requirement in writing and ensure that it is included in the approved Order, invoice, proof, or production instructions before Production begins.

If a specific requirement is not provided and confirmed, Yes We Print may use its professional judgment and standard production practices.

Our reasonable production decisions regarding details you did not specify—such as print size, placement, orientation, or color tone—are not considered production defects or grounds for a reprint or refund. This does not apply when Yes We Print fails to follow a specification that was properly provided and confirmed.

14. Previously Decorated, Used or Altered Merchandise

Customer-Supplied Goods that have already been printed, embroidered, washed, worn, altered, treated, repaired, or otherwise processed may present additional production risks.

Yes We Print is not responsible for problems caused by previous decoration, washing, wear, alterations, coatings, treatments, adhesives, repairs, or other pre-existing conditions.

We may refuse such merchandise when we believe further decoration presents an unreasonable risk.

15. High-Value & Irreplaceable Merchandise

Do not submit merchandise for decoration if you are unwilling to accept the production risks and limitations described in this Policy.

We strongly discourage Customers from submitting sentimental, irreplaceable, collectible, one-of-a-kind, or exceptionally valuable merchandise unless they understand and accept these limitations.

The value of the merchandise does not change our standard decoration fee or automatically increase Yes We Print's responsibility for that merchandise.

Plain English: Printing a $300 Customer-Supplied garment does not make the printing service itself a $300 service. If an item is extremely valuable, sentimental, rare, or impossible to replace, consider carefully whether you want to submit it for decoration.

16. Pickup & Unclaimed Customer-Supplied Merchandise

Completed Orders and Customer-Supplied Goods must be collected within 30 calendar days after the promised pickup or due date stated on the Order or invoice, or after Yes We Print notifies you that the Order is ready for pickup, whichever occurs first.

If you need Yes We Print to hold the merchandise longer, you must contact us before the 30-day period expires and receive our written confirmation of an alternate arrangement.

After the applicable 30-day period, unclaimed merchandise is subject to the unclaimed and abandoned Order provisions of our Terms of Service, including applicable storage, responsibility, disposal, and refund limitations.

17. Claims

Customers should inspect completed Customer-Supplied Goods promptly after receiving or picking up the Order and before distributing, reselling, giving away, delivering to their own clients or customers, washing, wearing, altering, or otherwise using the merchandise.

Any visible production problem, shortage, incorrect decoration, or other visible issue must be reported in accordance with the claim requirements and deadlines in our Terms of Service and Return & Refund Policy.

How to Submit a Claim: If you have a complaint, production issue, shortage, defect, or other problem with your Order, submit a support ticket through our Order Issue & Claim Form. Include your Order number, a clear explanation of the issue, and photographs or other supporting evidence when applicable. Submission of a ticket does not automatically establish that a refund, reprint, credit, or other remedy is due; the claim will be reviewed in accordance with our Terms of Service and applicable policies.

If merchandise has already been distributed to your customers, clients, employees, event attendees, or other third parties, you remain responsible for recovering any merchandise that must be returned or made available for inspection as part of a claim.

Distribution to a third party does not eliminate an applicable inspection or return requirement.

18. Relationship to Our Terms & Other Policies

This Customer-Supplied Garments & Merchandise Policy forms part of the agreement governing Orders involving merchandise supplied by the Customer.

This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service, Return & Refund Policy, Shipping Policy, Turnaround Times, and Money-Back / Workmanship Guarantee, as applicable.

If this Policy conflicts with the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service control, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
